Brook trout are native to the eastern U.S. and Canada.
They were first introduced to Colorado in 1872.
Brook trout eat mostly small insects and small invertebrates.
They spawn in the fall.
The pectoral, pelvic, and anal fins are often orange, edged with black and white.
The body is dark with both white spots and red spots inside the blue circles.
Maximum length: 6-18 inches
