Brown trout are native to Europe and Western Asia.
They were introduced to North America around 1880.
Brown trout eat primarily drifting insects and other invertebrates. Large individuals have been
known to eat fish and small mammals.
They spawn in the fall.
The spotting pattern is made up of both black spots and red-orange spots inside light blue circles.
Maximum length: 10-40 inches
