Largemouth bass were introduced to Colorado in the 1870's.

Since their diet consists largely of other fish, they are often stocked as a predator to control the populations of other fish.

The upper jaw extends beyond the eye and often there is a horizontal stripe extending the length of the body.

Maximum length: 30-38 inches
