Rainbow trout

Rainbow trout are native to coastal streams and lakes of the western U.S. and Canada.

They eat bottom-dwelling and planktonic invertebrates and occasionally fish.

They spawn in the spring.

Identifying marks are black spots on a light body and a red stripe along the sides of the fish.

Maximum length: 10-40 inches
