Smallmouth bass

Native to central and east-central portions of the United States and southern Canada, smallmouth bass were introduced into Colorado in 1951.

The upper jaw does not extend beyond the eye and the fish usually has vertical stripes along its sides.

Maximum length: 24-27 inches
